How to play
KRUN is a paint arena shooter drawn entirely in lit glyphs. Two teams of four, first to 25 pops wins, then an instant rematch.
Start
Open krun.io and press PLAY. The page makes a room and puts its code in the address bar: send that link to friends and they land in your room. Empty seats are played by bots, and a friend who joins takes a bot's seat.
On a computer
- Click to lock the mouse. Move the mouse to look.
- W A S D to move, Space to jump.
- Click to fire. R to reload the hopper.
- M mutes the sound. Esc lets the mouse go and pauses.
On a phone
- Your left thumb moves: the stick appears wherever it lands.
- Drag anywhere on the right to look. A quick flick turns further.
- The marker fires by itself while the crosshair is on an opponent you can see, and the look slows down over them. FIRE, JUMP and R buttons are there too.
The rules
- Opponents are always warm orange; your team is cool mint.
- Three paint hits and you pop. Two and a half seconds later you are back in.
- Paint wipes off if you avoid hits for a few seconds.
- First team to 25 pops wins the match.
Tips
- A paintball takes time to fly: lead a running opponent a little.
- The ruin in the middle is the high ground. Two stairs lead up.
- Every shot is a light: firing from the dark shows where you are.
